Iranian actor Mohammadreza Golzar is to give his first concert in Tehran.

Popular Iranian actor Mohammadreza Golzar is to stage his first concert in Tehran.

The superstar who also has a background in music will stage his first Tehran concert on March 10.

Holding his first ever concert in southern Iranian city of Bandar-Abbas in January, now he is getting ready to perform a Tehran concert along with his band Rezzar.

Golzar who gained fame as guitarist of the Iranian pop music band Arian in 2000, performed in several group concerts in Iran and abroad.

Soon after appearing on the music stage, late filmmaker Iraj Qaderi invited him to act in the movie ‘Sam and Narges’ that caused him becoming less active in music.

After appearing in several Iranian blockbusters, Golzar returned to music by establishing the band Rezzar eight years ago.

He has performed in other pop singers' concerts, including Babak Jahanbakhsh, Rouzbeh Nematollahi and Maziar Fallahi.

Planning to release his first album in the near future, Golzar has released 10 single tracks during the last three years. He will sing the tracks in the two performances that are scheduled for him at Milad Hall in March.

Born in 1975, Golzar’s latest film was ‘Salaam Mumbai’ that grossed more than $3.4 million at the domestic box-office after two months of screening.

Having a big fan base that guarantees the sale of most of the films, the actor has appeared in movies such as ‘The Last Supper’ (2001), ‘Poisonous Honey’ (2002), ‘Coma’ (2003), ‘Boutique’ (2003), ‘Ice Flower’ (2004), ‘Ceasefire’ (2005), ‘Crazy for Leili’ (2007), ‘Six and Five’ (2010), ‘You and I’ (2011), and ‘Atomic-Heart Mother’.
